There are two kinds of egg tarts, which are from Hoover Cake Shop (豪華餅店): puff pastry and butter cookie. Smooth, wobbly and creamy, the custard is made with high-quality eggs and butter, hitting just the right note of sweetness. Veteran thespians Chow Yun-Fat and Liza Wang Ming-Chuen are fans of these egg tarts.

Egg Tart (Hoover) (Cookies) Box of 4

The Kam Kee pineapple bun is made following the recipe of Kam Kee Cafe, a decades-old HK Style café serving the most authentic Hong Kong pineapple buns (bo lo bao) made with a blend of premium flour. Firm on the outside, with a sweet, crumbly golden crust that resembles a pineapple! The crust covers almost the entire surface of the bun for sufficient crunch in every bite. Filling options such as original, butter, kaya and luncheon meat available.

The fluffy bun is buttered after being toasted until the outside achieves a delicate crispiness. Then, it is drizzled with condensed milk, which contributes a lovely sweetness. This staple is commonly served at Hong Kong's authentic teahouses.

Hong Kong-style Wife Cake, or Lou Po Beng (老婆饼) is traditional Cantonese pastry boasts a thin flaky crust, which wraps a slightly chewy filling of premium mashed, slightly sweet, candied winter melon. Each Lou Po Beng (老婆饼) is served fresh from the oven. It follows a secret recipe that owner and legendary TV producer Robert Chua himself treasures — he has lived in Hong Kong for over 50 years and found this version to be the best.

The Hong Kong-style milk tea also follows Kam Kee’s secret recipe that calls for a blend of superior-quality tea leaves imported from Sri Lanka. European full cream evaporated milk is added to the brew to lend a moderately sweet flavour. The tea is said to be a favourite of singer-actor Dicky Cheung.

HK Milk Tea (Kam Kee) 香港奶茶(金記)

This is a classic mix of premium strong black coffee with equally strong black Hong Kong special blend of milk tea served hot or iced, bringing out the richest flavours from both. It is named after mandarin ducks, which appear in perfect pairs. The drink itself is a perfect pairing of coffee and tea, resulting in a smooth and delicately sweet creamy yin yang, with a faintly bitter aftertaste, the most iconic drink in Hong Kong.

The tart is made with a crumbly cookie crust, and it comes with a wobbly egg custard centre. Embedded within the custard are lychee popping pearls, which are lower in calories compared with the usual tapioca pearls found in bubble tea. Pineapple Bun Chicken Char Siu

The chicken pie was originally a creation from the United Kingdom—Hong Kongers have since adapted it to their taste preferences. Joy Luck's rendition boasts chunks of chicken, diced carrots, peas, corn and potato. The creamy bechamel sauce brings all the ingredients together. The crust is crumbly, buttery and slightly sweet, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture. The top of the crust has a crisscross diamond pattern, which is customarily imprinted on chicken pies in Hong Kong.

The “Pearls of Joy” series uses healthier pearls: Lychee Popping Pearls. The Lychee Popping Pearls have a delightful texture — bite into each pearl and the juice will ooze out. There are new cold bubble soda drinks in this series, each a fusion of Hong Kong and Singapore influences: Lychee Soda 荔枝蘇打, Green Apple Soda苹果蘇打, Peach Soda 蜜桃蘇打，Passion Fruit Soda百香果蘇打 and Honey Lemon Soda 檸檬蜜蘇打. Boasting a sweet fragrance, lychee is a popular fruit in Hong Kong, used as an ingredient for many beloved Hong Kong desserts. A palate cleanser, sour plum invigorates the senses with its sweet-sour note. Boasting medicinal properties, honey lemon is used traditionally to soothe the throats; it is also good for the vocal cords. Each beverage will go at S$4.80 (with pearls) and S$3.80 (without pearls)
